It’s been 10 years since the last Star Wars movie or 32 years since the last “good” Star Wars movies. And this is one of the reasons why Star Wars VII The Force Awakens is such a big deal for.
One of the reasons why it had this massive impact to my life. Growing up as a kid, I always liked Star Wars. It’s a shared passion carried throughout my family, Star Wars isn’t just a movie! It’s a tradition, a culture and an aesthetic of my life.
Seeing these character brought to life again made me very happy and very emotional, there hasn’t been a day where i’d loose hope to see these legends save our galaxy again. These people (Han, Luke, Leia and Chewie) is more than just a character, they’re heroes.
Thirteen months ago (Nov. 18, 2014), the first teaser trailer was released and it’s one of those glorious day where you can’t do anything but to stay happy, I pretty much watched the trailer a couple of hundred times and at to this point, I still have goosebumps whenever I watch it. Waiting over a year to watch the film has a bitter sweet feel cause you’ll be needing a lot of patience and the same time you’d be building a lot of hype. Not long ago the official trailer was released it contained the seen where Han Solo said to Chewbacca, “Chewie we’re home.!” Right there I knew, The Force Awakens will be great!
Seeing the movie 5 days ago left me speechless and surreal experience, I was with my girlfriend in line to buy tickets for the first viewing for that day and as we came close to buying tickets my heart beats raises, sweat intensifies and I felt the force waking up inside, as soon as we got the ticket I yelled and threw my fist in the air like I won a nobel prize or made a very great achievement but it was nothing like that its something more it Star Wars and in finally here.
As I wait through the trailers and advertisement to end, I cant help but to feel happy and very excited, and there it was the Lucas Film logo followed by the opening scroll at that every moment, I felt every excitement and hype as the crowd cheers and claps inside the cinema, and as the scroll went by, I caught my self shedding tears and clapping. I sat through a while for a 2 hour film, feeling every purest emotions I can feel, it was spectacular! Out of this world (no pun intended) it was finally here.
The movie came to an end and everyone is smiling, cheering and clapping. I felt very light like my stress and problems disappear, and I was outside the theater, I looked at my girlfriend in the eyes and said “Its back… The Force inside us is back.”
Theres a small chances the he’ll read this but J.J. Abrams thank you for waking the force inside us. Thank you!
And
May The Force be with us all!
