International seasoning brand MAGGI partnered with techie cum foodie Cristopher David to encourage the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) to showcase creativity through classic Filipino noche buena recipes.
MAGGI food and dairy culinary recipe marketing and digital lead Raine Calma said that the holiday season is the perfect time for young homecooks to showcase their creativity in the kitchen by cooking AI-based recipes.
“Young Filipinos are becoming more adventurous with their palates. They are not afraid to try out new recipes and experiment on new flavor combinations,” Calma said.
Among the dishes MAGGI highlighted include Bunasinag, a revamped version of lumpia, filled with ground pork, jackfruit pieces, and cheddar cheese, with MAGGI Magic Sarap to balance the flavors.
There’s also Chicken Balito, MAGGI Magic Sarap-seasoned dough balls that are lightly fried and assembled together using bamboo skewers with fried wonton wrappers for additional crunch.
For the entree, MAGGI recommends Pork Balamisto. It’s a whole, bone-in pork shoulder slow-roasted to get that best taste. According to MAGGI, the crackling skin of the Pork Balamisto can be achieved through a special roasting technique where the pork is coated with MAGGI Magic Sarap, pineapple juice, and annatto oil, before being roasted at ample temperature.
