Mirroring its thrust to challenge norms by making digital banking more accessible to Filipinos, Maya recently unveiled an action-packed short film featuring trailblazers Filipina Hollywood stars Dolly De Leon and Liza Soberano.
Soberano, who recently had a successful run for her first Hollywood film “Lisa Frankenstein” said that Maya is her go-to payment method whether for work travels or leisure.
“It’s just hassle-free and accepted anywhere,” the actress, who was first introduced as a Maya ambassador in 2023, said.
For Dolly De Leon, Maya is useful for people like her who don’t have the time to squeeze in bank visits with a busy schedule.
She mentioned that she can easily do transactions on her phone with Maya instead of going to banks to fill out forms.
“Just like Liza, I use my Maya card to pay for everything especially when I’m traveling to various places for work. It really does let me do things with my money, my bank, my way,” she said.
Maya chief marketing officer Pepe Torres said that Dolly and “embody the spirit of defiance and optimism, making them the perfect ambassadors for Maya.”
“We’re thrilled to have both Liza and Dolly pushing boundaries of payments and banking with Maya, as you’ve seen in the newly launched short film. They make the country proud as they achieve greater heights on the global scene.”
Maya is internationally accepted at over 80 million stores and ATMs. Its offers a savings service where users can earn up to 14% daily interest per annum and has platforms for mutual funds, crypto, and stocks.
