Lenovo Smartphones Philippines announced on Tuesday, July 20 2015, the launching of VIBE ON – the company’s new brand platform that “aims to strengthen awareness of its smartphones with millennials around the world.”

Vincent Dela Cruz, Lenovo Smartphones Philippines marketing manager announces the launching of VIBE ON campaign and VIBE Shot avaialability in an art museum in Quezon City, Philippines
According to Vincent Dela Cruz, Lenovo Smartphones Philippines marketing manager VIBE ON is “a new and vibrant campaign identity aimed at strengthening awareness of its smartphones globally. VIBE ON is an extension of Lenovo’s overarching master brand position, predicated on the belief that life rewards those that never stand still.”
Targeted predominantly at millennials, the VIBE ON brand promise aims to empower individuals to go their own way, by providing smartphones with the latest technology and features that they care about, at a price they wouldn’t expect, according to the company’s statement.
“Consumers nowadays are increasingly savvy and price conscious. Most of them are discerning enough to trade “good-to-have” features for products that offer outstanding value,” said Dino Romano, Country Lead, Lenovo Smartphones, Philippines.
“The VIBE ON promise emphasizes our belief in making cutting-edge technologies with innovative designs but a price that is not expensive and exclusive,” Romano said.
The design philosophy behind Lenovo’s VIBE series of smartphones is embodied across three main product pillars – a seamless camera experience, enhanced multimedia capabilities, and an adaptive VIBE user interface.
The event also launched the availability in the Philippines of VIBE SHOT, the company’s latest flagship smartphone.
In partnership with Lazada, a leading online shopping portal in the country, the VIBE Shot will be available at Php16,999 introductory price starting July 31, 2015.
The VIBE Shot “offers the best of both worlds by combining a premium 4G smartphone with a high-performance camera that incorporates advanced “prosumer” hardware and features that budding and seasoned photographers will love,” the company statement said.
Featured with a 16MP main camera and 5.0” Full HD screen, “the VIBE Shot is part of Lenovo’s new and vibrant VIBE ON brand promise which aims to empower individuals to go their own way, by providing smartphones with the latest technology and features that they care about, at a price they wouldn’t expect,” said Romano.
“It is a stylish and powerful smartphone that consumers want, and an advanced camera that budding and seasoned photographers will love to use,” Romano added.
Inanc Balci, Chief Executive Officer of Lazada Philippines said: “Lazada is thrilled to be the first to launch the Lenovo VIBE Shot in Philippines, building on the partnership we started with the highly successful Lenovo A7000.”
“With our market leadership and being able to reach millions of consumers in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia, we are confident that our partnership with Lenovo will contribute to their continued pursuit of innovation and success,” Balci said.
“Lenovo has found an excellent partner in Lazada, the biggest e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia,” said Romano.
“The partnership extends our reach of customers beyond the usual and provide them with an alternative platform to buy our smartphones, ensuring that in places where we do not have an offline presence, we are still available for purchase,” Romano said.
Like a standalone shooter, the VIBE Shot features a dedicated shutter button, which can be used to instantly activate the camera function to snap the perfect shot.
Its on-board infrared auto-focusing (AF) system is twice as fast as a conventional autofocus*, while the tri-color LED flash ensures more realistic skin tones – a world’s first for smartphones.
Low-light performance and clarity for shooting images in darker interiors or at night are supported by a 16:9 BSI sensor, and optical image stabilization (OIS) tech ensures reduced blurring should the camera accidentally move or shake.
The camera function is designed to allow users to easily toggle between the camera’s Auto and Pro modes.
Targeted at budding shutterbugs, a highlight of the Auto Mode is its Smart Composition function, incorporating automatic scene detection and an onscreen “point & shoot” guidance. The Pro mode, on the other hand, gives enthusiasts manual controls like aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings, enabling limitless compositions to unlock their creativity.
Another world’s first is the panoramic selfie feature that lets you take three selfies and turn them into one that includes more people.
The VIBE Shot is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, an octa-core chip which is designed for power efficient multitasking.
Its 3GB of RAM and a 32GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 128GB through a microSD card, enables mobile warriors to store large amounts of photo filess.
The VIBE Shot is designed with 4G / LTE support.
The 7.6mm thick VIBE Shot casing is built with full aluminum outer frame and front and back Corning Gorilla glass.
It will be available in Carmine Red and Graphite Grey. A Pearl White version will also be available towards the end of 2015.
The VIBE Shot will also be available at Lenovo Mobile Exclusive Stores and authorized retailers nationwide starting mid-August at Php17,999.
The VIBE Shot will come bundled with a free screen protector (worth Php299) and a free back cover (worth Php599). (techTV.ph)
