It’s the time of the year wherein kids and kids at heart are all excited to dress up in cool costumes. Most of the kids will be busy to go trick-or-treating and spook each other with silly, scary stories. It’s a fun, festive holiday where candies are almost everywhere and seems unlimited.
Nickelodeon like no other is excited to get everyone into the Halloween spirit.
Just when you think Nick will spook you with the same ghosts, well, you better be ready for this year’s spooktacular Halloween event, Takotown: Twisted Tales. The most notorious Philippine mythical creatures will be the center of attraction this year as Nickelodeon gives the celebration a fun Pinoy flavor. It seems that your friendly neighborhood kapre is looking for a new place to hang out apart from the balete tree, the good old white lady is can’t just stand in deserted streets, waiting for cars to pass by and the tiny little duwendes decided to leave those mounds sitting in your backyard.
Mark your calendar and make sure that on October 31, your direction will be pointing to SMX Convention Center Manila where you may discover the mysteries of Takotown: Twisted Tales. Meet the scary—but friendly underworld creatures from 2 pm to 6 pm. Pulling out all the stops to make your adventure totally unforgettable is a guaranteed by Nickelodeon.
Apart from that, kids will definitely have the time of their lives with the interactive activities on the ground and the exciting giveaways, from the trick-or-treat baskets filled with goodies from the event sponsors, to stage games, amazing performances, game booths, the meet-and-greet with Nickelodeon characters, and the ultimate Halo-Halo-ween costume contest. The coolest prizes await the one who will come with the best Halloween costume.
Some of the kids might feel like they’re “too” old for such fancy activities. If that is the case then they should be up for a spooky challenge, and enter the “Gubat ng Lagim” to brave the misty forest with all its creepy creatures and terrifying tombstones scattered all over the place. It’s a great way test their navigation skills and courage. Do they really think they can find their way out? A photo wall will be waiting at the other end of the forest to immortalize their bravery.
As for those faint-hearted (I bet no kid will admit though), there will be “Balon ng Undin” at the Toy Kingdom. If you could at least summon the courage to take a peek inside, Undin might make an appearance to pull you and eat you… I mean give you candies.
Kids from 7-10 years old may log on to Nick-Asia.com to score tickets for you and your family and friends. Register online and answer the question, “What is the scariest story you’ve heard of?” Be one of the lucky 50 kids with the best answers that will get four tickets each! You have until October 25 at 6 pm to submit your entries.
