SUN LIFE Marks 4th FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE MONTH with NEW SET OF DIGITAL SHORTS
The number one life insurance company in the Philippines, Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc., is marking the 4th Financial Independence Month this June by launching a new collection of its digital films dubbed Sun Shorts that aims to inspire Filipinos to break free from the cycle of financial shortage and insecurity, highlighting relationships that make lives #brightertogether.
The first collection of Sun Shorts were in 2012 has been recognized and lauded by different prestigious local and international award-giving bodies for its creative approach in promoting insurance and investment products.
“The people we love give us the courage to dream big and the strength to keep going even if sometimes it feels like the odds are against us. Truly, we are brighter together,” Sun Life Chief Marketing Officer Mylene Lopa said.
Each film tells a story about the Filipino dreams. “Waves” by Zig Marasigan gives a peek into the mindset of millennials, who are often criticized for adhering to the “YOLO” mindset and not preparing well enough for the future. “She Said, She Said” by Nic Reyes shows a young single mom’s journey. “Sayaw” by Mihk Vergara will delve into the reality of coping with a long-time marriage that has gone cold.
These three new Sun Shorts films has been released last June 7 at www.sunshorts2.com, and has been uploaded on Facebook so it may be easily accessed and shared by viewers.
Sun Life brand ambassadors Matteo Guidicelli, Judy Ann Santos, and Piolo Pascual are also featured in the film as part of the explainer video on how insurance and investments protects us for those unforeseen catastrophic events in ours lives.
To complement the new Sun Shorts films, Sun Life will hold a series of activities throughout June to educate Filipinos about life insurance and mutual funds. Some activities will include workshops on achieving travel goals for millennials and pampering activities for moms and dads. Meanwhile, for those who prefer to learn at their convenience, Sun Life offers basic financial planning courses in the Brighter Life Institute at www.brighterlife.com.ph.
