The Taiwan Ministry of Agriculture and the Commerce Development Research Institute of Taiwan (CDRI) collaborated for the ‘Taiwan Pork’ initiative, an effort to introduce the country’s premium pork products to the Philippine market, particularly to consumers and businesses.
The move is also intended to strengthen bilateral trade relations between Taiwan and the Philippines. The Taiwan Pork campaign aims to tap local distributors, retailers, and other key stakeholders to expand the promotion of the wide range of options – from premium cuts to specialty products.
“We are excited to bring Taiwan Pork’s legacy of quality and innovation to the Filipino market. Our commitment to excellence, combined with our understanding of local preferences, positions us to become a trusted partner for Filipino households,” said CDRI vice president Chang Hwang-Jen.
Taiwan boasts of its commitment to quality assurance throughout the entire production process, combining rigorous standards and advanced technologies to ensure the highest quality possible for the pork products.
The Taiwan Pork initiative also collaborated with Spiral, Sofitel Manila’s flagship restaurant, to include Taiwanese pork dishes in the menu which will be available until January 2024. Selections include Taiwanese style deep fried pork chop, braised minced pork with rice, BBQ pork with osmanthus and honey sauce, pan-fried pork sausage, and meatball noodle soup.
