Once again, the Filipinos’ unbelievable passion for dancing has been witnessed in an international hip-hop dance competition held at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Without a doubt, our Iskolars ng Bayan rocked their bodies all the way to the third spot. The University of the Philippines Street Dance Club (UPSDC) won the bronze medal in the Megacrew Division of the World Hip-hop Championship.
The UPSDC garnered a score of 8.47 points not quite far from the .33 points of the silver medal holder, Canada’s Praise Team. New Zealand’s Royal Family Crew won the gold medal in the said division with a score of 9.00.
Five teams from the Philippines tried to conquer the stage in the World Hiphop Championships but only three groups were lucky enough to have the chance to compete in the grand finals and still have a rank in their respective divisions.
UPSDC, the Philippine All Stars Dance group and the De La Salle Dance Company-Street, all did their best and showed nothing beats hardwork and faith in God.
