World’s largest selling gin maker Ginebra San Miguel Inc. (GSMI) celebrated World Gin Day by parading its 190-year history through a showcase of the art of gin.
The World Gin Day is an annual celebration of the drink every second Saturday of June in Europe, Australia, parts of the United States, and in the Philippines.
GSMI kicked off the yearly World Gin Day festivities in the country in 2014, the first in the Asia-Pacific region.
“This year’s World Gin Day holds a special significance for us as it coincides with the 190th anniversary of our flagship brand. To celebrate this milestone, we’ve crafted a one-of-a-kind World Gin Day experience, letting gin enthusiasts step back in time and celebrate the rich history and craftsmanship of Ginebra San Miguel,” said GSMI marketing manager Ron Molina.
GSMI delighted gin lovers with a cocktail mixing exhibition and a walk-through museum of Ginebra artifacts, commemorative items, art pieces, and collectibles spanning the brand’s 190 years.
An educational-entertainment performance also highlighted the three-part journey of Ginebra which it called OriGINs, GINnovations, and ImaGINations.
For all Saturdays of June, GSMI has lined up various activities in selected bars across the Philippines where the public can take advantage of promotions, giveaways, and exclusive perks.
