“We are celebrating the successful first year of Whoscall in PH by introducing the #DapatAllMagWhoscall campaign because we believe that everyone should be able to freely use the internet and other digital services without the fear of scams or other forms of fraud,” Joo said.
Apart from spreading awareness against online scams and creating a community of digital safety advocates, the #DapatAllMagWhoscall also targets to protect Filipinos from unknown callers.
“The #DapatAllMagWhoscall campaign promotes an inclusive personal cybersecurity mindset, encouraging Filipinos to adopt safe online behaviors. With this, we are encouraging ‘Data All’ to be aware of personal online safety,” said Gogolook Southeast Asia regional director and country representative Mel Migriño.
The Whoscall app can be integrated with other messaging apps like Viber and WhatsApp for caller and message identification. Its free features also include safe browsing thru a Web Checker and enhanced data security.
Meanwhile, the premium version of the app offers an auto-updated number database, automated URL scanner, and auto-spam call blocking.
