This is little bit of sad news is for all the DM’s loyalistas in the Philippines. Just a few hours ago, the world-famous lace-up boots, Dr. Martens decided to permanently close its stores in the Philippines by December 31, 2022, as seen on their Official Facebook Page that was announced today.

Dr. Martens Glorietta 4, Dr. Martens SM Mall of Asia, Dr. Martens SM Megamall, and Dr. Martens Manila Bay will be closing down, permanently, according to their official Facebook Page.
Dr. Martens style has become popular among those who like to rock the grungy aesthetic associated with the boots or incorporate utilitarian elements into their wardrobe.
Their flagship and most extensive branch in Metro Manila, located at Two Parkade BGC, closed its doors earlier this year last February.
Dr. Martens is a shoe brand operating in the global footwear market, which sells to consumers in more than 60 countries. The brand began with the creation of its first boot, 1460, on the 1st of April 1960, and since then, the brand has built a defined presence in the footwear market synonymous with British youth and music subcultures.
Slow sales and supply problems in Asia were among the surfacing reasons why the globally renowned brand had to close its operations and stores.
