Design and Build:
Inspired by the looks of jewelry, Enco Air3 is built on high-quality plastic with a capsule-looking shape. The glossy texture adds a sleek and shiny aesthetic, although it may be prone to scratches and dirt over time.
We chose the “Glaze White” colorway with a clear lid resembling a fancy jelly case. Taking out the earbuds from its cavity is easy with a broad, translucent cap. It has an overall lightweight of 3.75 grams.
The kicker is the earbuds designed to fit halfway into your ear, similar to the looks of Airpods, which may not suit everyone.
Features:
For budget TWS earbuds, OPPO has gone the extra mile with the Enco Air3 with its features.
One standout feature is its ability to connect to two devices simultaneously, making it a practical choice for those who frequently switch between devices.
On the software side, it has the Cadence HiFi5 DSP that optimizes battery life and processing power. Upon testing it out, the performance did get boosted to a certain degree.
OPPO Enco Air3 also incorporates Oppo Alive Audio, which promises to improve the surround sound experience. Considering its price, the earbuds deliver decently full-bodied and immersive audio, albeit with slightly less resonance.
As for its large composite driver, it sits at 3.4mm, which is standard for earbuds. However, users have a Bass Boost option for punchier bass.
Besides Bass Boost, the earbuds feature other listening styles, including Original Sound and Clear Vocals, to meet your listening needs.
Touch controls are found on the stem of the earbuds, which provides only the simplest commands for controlling music, volume, and calls, shutter for the camera, and enabling voice assistant. You can customize touch gestures via the HeyMelody app.
Oddly enough, the earbuds lack the ability to pause and play music directly from the touch controls, so you’ll have to do it on the phone manually.
Battery:
OPPO claims the Enco Air3 provides up to 6 hours of playback on a single charge. But in our testing, it can only hold up to 5 hours and 30 minutes. With the charging case, you can enjoy up to 19 additional hours, resulting in 25 hours of usage. Because it’s on USB-C, you can use the earbuds for up to two hours after juicing it up for 10 minutes only.
Verdict:
For a budget, OPPO Enco Air3 is packed with valuable features. What makes this stand out is the ability to connect to two devices at once. However, a few features should’ve been added as a staple. Otherwise, the OPPO Enco Air3 is worth your money if you only seek the basic features of earbuds with a decent sound experience and that it can hold up to two devices at once.
