Telco leader PLDT underscored the importance of responsible use of smart home technology and artificial intelligence at this year’s recently concluded Philippine Digital Convention.
PLDT led the conversation on how newer innovations including smart home and AI can affect family life, parenting, and home security, with key insights from PLDT Home ambassadors Eric and Joy Mendoza, industry partners Microsoft Philippines’ PR and communications head Josh Aquino, eufy and Anker’s assistant brand manager Marinel Emeres Pascual, PLDT Home’s Evert Miranda and former PLDT and former Smart Public Affairs Head Ramon Isberto.
Additionally, Angel Redouble, PLDT first vice president and chief information security officer, emphasized how the brand prioritizes its 24/7 cyber security operations amid the fast-paced world of digitalization.
“As we enable access to these evolving digital solutions, our thrust at PLDT is to ensure that each connecting customer and end-user gets to fully maximize the benefits of technology, while being safe and protected from potential threats and harms online,” Redoble said.
PLDT’s session at the Philippine Digital Convention aligns with its agenda for sustainability as it focuses on digital inclusion, cybersecurity, customer welfare, and child protection.
