ARTipolo Group Inc., founded in 2014, a multi-awarded group of local artists hailing from Antipolo celebrates International Women’s Month as they launched an art exhibit at Le Blanc Hotel & Resort in Antipolo City on March 6, 2022.
The pandemic has also greatly affected the art industry but these local artists remained resilient. Making ends meet, from online exhibitions now back to conventional showcasing of artworks. The government’s lowered restrictions have paved its way to the revival of the annual event entitled “Mujeres del Artes 4”, which should have been on its 5th year already if not only for the pandemic lockdowns. The said event is spearheaded by ARTipolo President Leopoldo A. Mesina Jr. and event Chairwoman and also a Board Member, Dr. Chrisellie C. Guzik.
It is an all-women art exhibit celebrating womanhood, women empowerment, breaking the barriers of gender inequality, and most of all promoting Filipina artistry. The event has been graced by the honorable Antipolo City Vice-Mayor Josefina “Ka Pining” Gatlabayan together with various local guest artists.
This is a project in collaboration with Le Blanc Hotel & Resort and the Soroptimist International Philipines. A percentage of the proceeds will go to the foundations and charitable institutions supported by the said group.
Calling out all art collectors and enthusiasts! Drive up to the mountains and check out these awesome collections of artworks courtesy of the women of ARTipolo. The exhibit runs up until the 9th of April 2022.
