OPPO is bringing artificial intelligence closer to the masses with the launch of its OPPO Reno12 Series 5G which highlights AI functions for photography and connectivity.
Dubbed as the “future-forward portrait expert,” the OPPO Reno12 Series 5G carries AI imaging features including the improved AI Eraser 2.0 which seamlessly edits photos to remove photobombers and unwanted elements.
OPPO’s AI Eraser 2.0 feature now has the “Remove People” capability which utilizes AI in scanning photos and automatically detecting and deleting photobombers.
This is in addition to the Smart Lasso and Paint Over tools launched when the AI Eraser feature was first introduced in April with the OPPO Reno11 Series 5G.
The new devices from OPPO also come with a pre-installed AI Studio which turns photos into digital avatars in different characters.
These AI-backed camera functions compliments the OPPO Reno12 5G’s camera array top-billed by a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 Sensor with an All Pixel Omni-Directional PDAF and OIS and the OPPO Reno12 Pro 5G’s 50-megapixel telephoto portrait camera.
AI also runs on the OPPO Reno 12 5G and OPPO Reno12 Pro 5G’s respective 32-megapixel and 50-megapixel front cameras with the AI Portrait function that allows users to switch between zoom levels to get the ideal frame while maintaining a Natural Tone for more realistic lighting effects and skin tones.
Apart from photography features, the OPPO Reno12 5G Series also maximizes AI for seamless connectivity even in areas with weak and disrupted signals with the AI LinkBoost feature.
Alongside this, the OPPO Reno12 5G Series comes with the BeaconLink technology that enhances Bluetooth uplink capabilities by 300% for device-to-device voice calls over Bluetooth at a distance of up to 200 meters even in no-connection environments.
The OPPO Reno12 5G retails for P24,999 in Astro Silver, Sunset Pink, and Matte Brown, while the OPPO Reno12 Pro 5G sells for P34,999 in Nebula Silver and Space Brown.
