Residents in Mandaluyong and San Juan extended a warm welcome to former Special Assistant to the President and senatorial candidate Bong Go as he conducted a motorcade campaign in the said areas.
Go, humbled by the warm reception, expressed his gratitude for the overflowing support.
“Thank you very much to my brothers and sisters in Mandaluyong and San Juan, for your warm welcome; even on a Sunday, you went out of your houses. It took away the tiredness even if it was very hot and I already got sunburned. You can count that I will continue to serve my countrymen,” Go said.
Go garnered a massive following after building a relationship with residents of Metro Manila, particularly the urban poor. In September last year, Go visited and gave assistance to the victims of fire in Barangay Addition Hills.
With fire protection one of his priorities in his legislative agenda, Go is urging for a more intensive fire prevention awareness drive, particularly in areas with informal settlers.
