While the holiday season is a time to reunite and reconnect with family members for most, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) have no choice but to sacrifice priceless moments with loved ones in the name of building a better future for their families.
As a household name for Filipino homes for decades already, Coca-Cola Philippines is no stranger to this reality. This year, the brand granted the wish of an OFW to be with their family for the holidays.
In line with its campaign, “The World Needs More Santas,” Coca-Cola Philippines served as the Santa Claus for the Colina family, as it reunited father Aldo with his three children after not spending Christmas together as a family for five years.
To keep the reunion a surprise, Coca-Cola informed the Colina children that they won a weekend stay in Bonifacio Global City to witness Coca-Cola’s Christmas parade. At the parade itself, they were asked to participate in an activity on the stage, without knowing that their dad was behind the curtains.
It was a reunion that warmed the hearts of the audience who were moved by the emotional moment. Watch the full video of the Colina family reunion here.
Coca-Cola Philippines encourages the public to become a Santa Claus this holiday season by embodying compassion and kindness. Know more about the campaign at www.coca-cola.com.ph/en.
