Once done with registration, follow specific instructions for loan and wait until it gets approved. Remember to pay for the loan on due dates as this is how you earn good credit scores, which will result to faster loan approvals.
First time users of the Tala app will be required to upload a copy of their valid identification card using the said app. Once the loan is approved, users can cash in at selected banks and store partners including BPI, Cebuana Lhuillier, Palawan Express, and even through coins.ph. Repaying the loaned amount is also via Tala’s bank and store partners. Loans are payable in a weekly or a monthly basis with interest rates of 11% and 15% respectively.
Among the accepted proof of identification include a driver’s license, Unified Multipurpose ID or UMID, PRC Identification Card, Passport, Voter’s ID, SSS ID, and Postal ID.
Tala’s mission is to give financial access and control for the underserved communities. With the use of the Tala app, users are assured that their data is safe and secured because Tala uses industry standard security. For one, the app itself will require a PIN everytime users will initiate it on their smartphones.
