Engage in meaningful topics and own your perspectives around female empowerment, support female-led brands, and celebrate what it means to be a woman
This March, Love, Bonito is launching a month-long campaign in celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD), titled “Your Perspective Matters”. The initiatives that follow emphasize the possibilities for women to redefine their roles, expectations, and experiences in society today. Leading the celebrations is a series of conversations happening weekly on Instagram Live, with an exciting lineup of global thought leaders, discussing pertinent issues ranging from feminine health and wellness, females for the future, and women’s rights, all of which are close to the hearts of many.
It’s All About Perspectives

Four women from different walks of life coming together to have a conversation
In conjunction with this year’s theme of #BreakTheBias, Love, Bonito has lined up a total of four virtual sessions between 15 March to 5 April, to explore varying perspectives on topics that resonate with women. An esteemed panel of ladies will be gracing the sessions, touching on issues ranging from expectations of being a woman – career versus family commitment, egg-freezing, mentorship as well as lived experiences between women of colour.
For our headline event happening on 15 March (Tuesday), 9 to 10pm (GMT+8), the discussion will be around societal expectations of women and how the idea of ‘having it all’ – a once-popular notion in the 1980s – is starting to fade. Moderating the session is Love, Bonito’s Co-founder, Rachel Lim, who will be joined by former Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolitan Philippines, Jillian Gatcheco-Cantada, host and actress Grace Chan, as well as CEO and Co-founder of bümo, Joan Tran. The ladies aim to share lessons they have learnt around the need for gender equality at home and at work, how one views sacrifices versus prioritisations and more importantly, the immense help a support circle can provide. For more details on these sessions, kindly refer to Appendix A and B.
“This International Women’s Day, as we honour the progress that women have made, we also acknowledge that there is so much more to learn about the challenges and biases we face today. We hope that by using our platform to facilitate these conversations, we are able to amplify varying perspectives, shed light on important women issues, and ultimately, empower the everyday Asian woman to grow not only as individuals but also as a community, aiding one another throughout the seasons of life.” said Rachel Lim, Co-founder of Love, Bonito.
