Gone are the days when sending money to your loved ones means braving a long commute and spending hours queueing up in banks and remittance centers. Through the emergence of smartphones and e-wallet providers, this can easily be done through a few clicks and swipes.
For PayMaya users, here’s a quick guide on ways you seamlessly and conveniently express love to friends and families through quick money transfers.
Of course, there’s the widely used and most popular ‘Send Money’ function on the PayMaya app. With this, all that’s needed is the mobile number of the PayMaya account owner you’re sending to.
All you need to do is follow these simple steps:
- In your PayMaya app, tap “Send Money.”
- Key in the recipient’s mobile number. If it’s saved in your phone contact list, just press the + sign to search the number.
- Input the amount to send.
- Tap “Continue.”
- Review your Send Money transaction details.
- Tap “Send.”
- Wait for PayMaya’s confirmation via SMS.
Another option is through Instapay, a method that allows easy money transfer from PayMaya accounts to various bank providers. Always make sure that the details you’ve put like the bank account number and the amount are precise and correct for a smooth transaction.
To use this feature, simply follow these steps:
- In your PayMaya app, tap “Bank Transfer” in the Home screen.
- Select the partner bank from the list and input amount.
- Input Recipient Details.
- Tap “Continue.”
- Review your Send Money transaction details.
- Tap “Send.”
- Wait for PayMaya’s confirmation via SMS.
Another useful method is through Smart Padala, a way to send money to those who don’t have a PayMaya or a bank account. Through this, PayMaya account users are now empowered to send funds to anyone, anywhere in the Philippines.
To send money through Smart Padala, follow these steps:
- Ask for the 16-digit account number of your Smart Padala agent (ask your recipient to make sure the Smart Padala agent is open during this time)
- Tap “Send Money” on your PayMaya app
- Enter the 16-digit account number of your Smart Padala agent on the mobile/account number field
- Input the amount and click “Continue”
- Check the transaction details then click “Send”
- To claim the money sent to you, make sure the Smart Padala agent store is open and bring 1 valid ID, mobile phone and reference number as proof of transaction
Remember that your PayMaya account should be upgraded in order for you to be able to send money. For transactions done through Smart Padala, 1.5% of the transmitted amount will be charged to the sender. For send money transfers to PayMaya and bank accounts, it’s still for free.
Not only these methods are easy, PayMaya users are also assured that they are safe and secure, and the hard-earned money will find its way to family, friends, and loved ones!
