LBC’s digital transformation is coming full circle as it prepares to embark on an enterprise-wide system upgrade, anchored on a second multi-million dollar agreement with Ramco Systems.
This shift is the brainchild and key project of LBC President and Chief Operating Officer Mike A. Camahort who aptly called it “Project Synergy”.
LBC and Ramco Systems first became partners when LBC signed on to utilize Ramco HR on Cloud to replace its HR and payroll systems. Ramco’s Cloud HR and Payroll Solution proved to be so successful that, just a year later, expanded to Ramco’s Logistics Suite Solution to unify and automate LBC’s Logistics and Supply Chain operations across its 1,400 global branches and 121 warehouses.
Ramco’s Logistics Suite is an integrated cloud-based platform for logistics and courier service providers looking for high performance logistics software. Ramco’s Logistics Suite Solution allows LBC to centralize information into one technology and application platform, thereby eliminating redundancy in operations and achieving absolute data integrity and scope for planning and optimization. Ramco’s Logistics Suite Solution will cover the needs of all of LBC’s business operations as the mobile friendly platform includes modules for freight-forwarding, courier planning, rating and billing, as well as end-to-end warehouse, fleet and supply chain management. Ramco’s Logistics Suite also comes equipped with chat bots and advanced analytics capabilities to improve company-wide visibility and hub management.
The scope of Ramco’s Logistics Suite Solution spans the entire LBC group including its subsidiaries and affiliates in countries across Asia Pacific, USA, Canada, Europe, and Australia and covers LBC’s corporate and retail businesses. This improved system will enhance LBC’s main cargo “Exchange Center” in Manila, integrating into the established “Put-To-Light” (PTL) sorting system and will enhance sorting capabilities and efficiencies as volumes increase. This new system will, likewise, integrate into current mobile and handheld terminal applications used in logistics operations.
“Project Synergy” will be completed by the end of 2019, as LBC ensures a smooth roll out of the Ramco Logistics Suite Solution and a higher user adoption and compliance through phased implementation.
LBC expects that digital transformation via Ramco’s new-age Logistics Suite will result in complete visibility of operations thereby improving productivity and arresting revenue leakage. By embracing Ramco Systems’ digital technology and reinventing itself, LBC shows that it is ready and able to face the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities that the fast changing and highly competitive logistics industry brings.
