Supporting the aim of boosting the tourism industry in Palawan, senatorial candidate Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go backs the government’s infrastructure projects for the said province.
“I will support the ongoing projects of the administration especially the ‘Build, Build, Build’ program. We want Palawan to have better roads to make travel more convenient for the locals, as well as tourists. With better roads, business will prosper and tourism will boom,” Go said.
Among the infrastructure projects in the province accomplished under the Duterte administration were the PhP 167-million farm-to-market roads in several municipalities and the airport in the town of San Vicente.
Another one is the superhighway project which according to Bong Go, will pave the way for faster travel for tourists and residents, and will facilitate transportation of products throughout the province.
Expected to be finished in the next three years, the said project, costing about PhP 30 billion, includes the two-lane national highway into six lanes, traversing 600 kilometers of the entire mainland of Palawan.
Other than infrastructure projects, one of Bong Go’s main platforms for his legislative include the formation of Malasakit Centers in different provinces in the Philippines.
“There is a Malasakit Center here in Palawan. This is the fifth of 34 such centers nationwide,” Go said.
