Soldiers share their stories as Perla celebrates Timeless Beauty and Elegance

Recently, Perla honors Pinays’ timeless beauty and elegance in the Entitled Basics Redefined: The Perla Fashion Show. The fashion show featured Filipinas in a runway and proved that white outfits are symbols of power and beauty.

While most think that Perla is for women who tries to maintain their skin moisturized while washing their clothes, there are also people whom we didn’t thought are Perla users.

All-in-One Perla

Private First Class (Pfc) Regero first encountered Perla a few years ago, when was still applying to be a soldier in the Philippine Army. After passing the necessary exams and physical tests, Pfc Regero, then a candidate soldier, is getting ready for his army training. He was advised by his friend who is also a member of the Philippine Army bring only the most important things that he will need for the first month of their training. One of the things that he needs is soap for bathing and for washing his clothes. He went to the local grocery store and saw Perla. He thought that Perla might be perfect because he can use it both for himself and his clothes.

“Naalala ko nun, nung bago pa kami mag training, sabi sa kin ng tropa hanggat maari mas kaunti ang bitbitin na gamit para hindi masyado mabigat yung bag namin. So isa sa naisip ko na yung sa sabon, kesa mag kaiba yung bibilin ko para sa akin at sa damit ko eh yung Perla na lang kasi pwede ko magamit sa damit at sa katawan ko,” said Pfc Regero.

Pfc Regero also recalled how Perla helped his skin mosturized while undergoing an intense military training, “Syempre madalas nakabilad kami sa araw, at lagi na nag nag da-dry yung mga mukha namin nun. Buti na lang naka Perla ako nun, kaya minsan pag dinaalaw ako ng pamilya ko sa kampo sabi nila buti hindi masyado nasusunog yung balat ko. Sabi ko Perla kasi ang gamit ko na sabon.”

Power of Touch

Police Officer (PO) 1 Espejo is one of the few men in uniform who is strong enough to go to the laundry area and wash clothes for his family. He first encountered Perla from his grandmother. He said that when he was younger, he would always saw his grandmother using Perla for their clothes. He would also recall that their soap at home for bathing is Perla. While growing up he saw some soap commercials and tried those soap until he went to college and later on has become a police man.

One of the things that he had practice is marksmanship. “So halos araw araw baril yung harak ko kasi tinetrain ko din yung sarili ko na mas maging asintado,” said PO1 Espejo. “Napansin na din ni misis na tumitigas na yung balat sa palad ko pag hinahawakan ko yung mga kamay nya. Di nya sinasabi pero alam ko na di ganun ka komportable hawakan yung kamay ko kasi matigas nga,” he added.

Suddenly he remembered Perla as his grandmother would say that Perla can really make your skin soft. From there he again tried Perla and he was not disappointed. He said that he could now perform his duties to serve and protect the people, and with Perla, my family knows that their skin and the clothes that we are wearing are also protected.

According to PO1 Espejo, “Bukod sa tungkulin namin na protektahan at pagsilibihan ang mga Pilipino, mahalaga din para sa isang Pulis ang alagaan ang mga damit na isinusuot ng kanyang pamilya pati na rin ang mga kamay na nag lalaba nito.”

For the whole family

Air Woman 1st Class (AW1C) Annie Dioneda has been using Perla for ever since. Her whole family enjoys the benefits that Perla is giving them. She said that Perla White is best especially for her child’s clothes.

She shares that she tried to use a different brand of laundry soap but then her child’s skin was irritated.

“Perla talaga yung gamit namin, lalo na sa damit ng anak ko,” said AW1C Dioneda. “Minsan Mag lalaba ako ng damit non, kaso naubusan pala ako ng stock ng Perla. Pag punta ko naman sa tindahan, wala silang tinda kaya napilitan akong gumamit ng ibang brand. After nun, napansin ko na naiirita yung balat ng anak ko sa damit na suot nya,” she added.

Because of the strong ingredients of the other brand of soap, her child’s skin was irritated. She then said that as much as possible she would not try to use other soap again.

Aside from its cleaning power, Perla can also keep their clothes soft. “Di ko na nga kailangan pa gumamit ng fabric softener,” she said. “Malakas ako gumamit ng Perla, kasi nga bukod sa damit eh, eto rin yung gamit namin pang ligo,” she added.

She said that as much as possible, she would not try to use a different brand of soap.
