I was a Telus employee for almost 10 years and up until this day, I can still remember all the things that I loved about working for one of the leading global business process outsourcing companies.
Working in the call center industry is indeed out of the norms, which is why taking care of the agents is a vital part. Anyway, reminiscing my days working in Telus, which was Ambergris Solutions back then, brings nostalgia to me.
Aside from meeting the love of my life at Telus, I will never forget my team who was like a family to me. Our offices in the Raffles building in Ortigas which can easily be found since it was the only gold building there, and the Discovery Suite across The Podium along ADB Ave., lakas maka sosyal di ba? And Telus Site at the Market! Market, which i never get the chance to visit. lol! These and the other numerous things, and oh the Townhall parties like no other!
And now every time I pass by Edsa in Makati, the new TELUS House gives me a surreal feeling. I will definitely recommend TELUS to any qualified person that is looking to work hard, party hard, and work in their state-of-the-art building that makes the challenges so worth it!
TELUS International Philippines (TIP) launches its 5th site, TELUS House McKinley West, a five-storey building at Bonifacio Global City which showcases a modern industrial look with a unique approach to team members’ experience through its state-of-the-art facilities.
TIP’s Facilities Director, Pia Felix took the lead in the project, overseeing the design, maintenance, equipment, service providers and other measures concerning security and safety. She ensured that the newly-opened site provides a fun vibe and employee-pampering facilities. More than being fun, TELUS International Philippines fosters a caring environment that is reflected in all its initiatives for its team members. Fun is the result of the conscious effort of providing programs and facilities that support the professional and personal growth and development of its team members.
“This is our team members’ second home. They spend 9 – 10 hours at work so we want to make them relaxed and feel that they are taken care of by the company,” she notes.

Hands down, TIP McKinley West’s strategic spot makes for a laidback yet urban setting, pretty much recreating what’s familiar to the team members hailing from down south like Alabang and Cavite. Felix stresses, “We want to continue to push the boundaries. Our slogan is “It’s Different Here” so I need to ensure we stay true and continue to stand out. We want our team members to bring out their creative juices. It can’t be just that typical corporate as it has never been that way at TIP.”
“People have this notion that working in a BPO is a monotonous job—it’s not! We at TIP do understand that for our agents, there’s a need for them to break out from that monotony that’s why we have themed interior and other areas that relax the eyes and the mood”, she added.
