Solane, the leading cooking gas brand looks for the best kusinera mom for Cuisinera Challenge, 2015 Mommy Edition!
I am overjoyed and excited to be part of this cook-off…
Happening this July 31 at the Center for Culinary Arts, Manila, and Yes! That is tomorrow! As I write, I am also preparing the ingredients for my winning recipe. Lol.
The dish that I’ve decided to prepare is Ginataang Manok sa Papaya, an authentic Bicolano Dish which is one of our family favorites.
Cuisinera Challenge is a cook-off where contestants are tasked to prepare their rendition of an original recipe that can be prepared in 30 minutes.
Through this contest, Solane hopes to show how great Filipino family cuisine is and rich and innovative, value of food is not only those prepared by chefs in restaurants, but also by loving moms at home and bringing the family together.
Serving as the program adviser is Filipino food promoter, culinary researcher and food journalist Nancy Reyes-Lumen.
At the cook-off, dishes will be judged according to taste (40 points), plating and presentation (30 points), ease of preparation (20 points), and originality and creativity (10 points). Five (5) bonus points may also be given by the judge, and another five (5) for safety and sanitary practice.
Three Cuisinera Challenge winners will be selected based on the total scores, to be announced right after the cook-off.
