Among his many committed platforms, former special assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go has promised to prioritize the welfare of the workers and help boost tourism and economic development.
Go mentioned that he ought to review the country’s labor code which he described as already “obsolete.”
The senatorial candidate also insisted that there must be a balance between the welfare of the workers and the companies and employers in order to benefit both of them.
“As one of my priorities, we will look at the welfare of workers first and revisit the 1974 Labor Code,” Go said.
Go also detailed about his and President Duterte’s support to the ongoing construction of the New Clark City where the upcoming 2019 Southeast Asian Games is slated to happen. He also cited about other projects under the “Build, Build, Build” initiative of the administration which according to Go, will benefit not just the province and workers of Tarlac but also nearby places as well.
Among these projects were the Central Luzon Link Expressway, and the Capas-Botolan Road project which are both targeted to be finished in 2022.
These, together with the development of the PhP 23.9-billion toll road from the last exit of the TPLEX in Rosario to San Juan, La Union are poised to further promote the advancements in Northern Luzon.
Go also mentioned about his thrust for improved health services in the Philippines by supporting the establishment of various Malasakit Centers in the country.
The Malasakit Center in the said province located at the Tarlac Provincial Hospital is the 23rd out of the 34 Malaskit Centers that are operational as of writing.
