Have you ever try visiting a place that showcases both farm and a zoo? If your answer is “NO”, it’s time to say Hello to Paradizoo. The moment when I was told that I’m about to visit Paradizoo, I was so excited. The reason why I was so excited is because I’ve heard a lot of good comments about Paradizoo. After my experience there, I can now prove or testify how fascinating Paradizoo is.
Welcome Drinks |
As we reached Paradizoo we headed to the Paradizoo Café where we had our breakfast. We were given a cute “welcome drink”. It looked very cute and unique, because instead of serving it using a glass, they used a jar. Aside from its presentation, the taste of it was really delicious. I’ve tried different iced teas but that one was exceptional. The food that was served at the café was savory as well. I totally love their caldereta, but what I didn’t know is that, the meat used was goat’s meat or chevon. The thing is I don’t eat such meat, but if they will offer me the same dish, I won’t mind eating all of it. It’s undeniably scrumptious.
After the breakfast, we’ve witnessed the ribbon cutting. In a short while, the animal show started. The animals were so cute. They all looked friendly too. One of the animals that really caught my attention was “Bulltesfive”. It’s a huge bull with five feet. Among all the animals my personal favorite was the miniature horses. It was my first time to see such horses. It’s like seeing your doll or toy horses come to life. Miniature horses were so adorable. It makes me want to take one home. I can see people enjoying the whole animal show. Kids were laughing and cheering all the time, a good indication that they were having so much fun.
When the animal show was over, we continued to the familiarization tour. We were given a brief intro of Paradizoo and Power of Three Event. We were even taught how to milk a goat. Then the different breeds of goats and sheep were introduced to us. There were some Boer, Kalahari, Angho-Nubian and Saanen. There was a dorper and menno sheep too. The Paradizoo is a mesmerizing paradise that showcases the beauty of flora and fauna. So after the encounter with some animals, it’s time to discover the beauty of flora. The flower garden was so attractive. The flowers seem to be dancing with the wind.
If there are beautiful flowers in the area, surely there are butterflies. And I was right! There is a butterfly garden. It’s really nice to see butterflies flying everywhere. Butterflies help in pollinating the flowers as well as the bees. Aside from the butterfly garden there is a Honeybee Farm where you can find Italian bees. While we were inside the Honeybee Farm we were oriented about certain things regarding the bees. These Italian bees produce honey, the food that does not expire even for one million years. The thing that struck me about bees is that, cell sites made bees get lost that means they cannot return to their colony.
After getting some knowledge about the bees, we go on to the Eclectic garden. Inside the eclectic garden you can find a bonfire area or sunken garden. It is indeed ideal for picnics, educational field trips, group outing, camping and team buildings. Have you ever seen a real bahay kubo where you can find all 18 vegetables planted near it? In paradizoo, you can! As we reach the bahay kubo area, a girl suddenly sang bahay kubo while a boy was playing his guitar. There is a Hydroponics Farm and a Vegetable farm where you can buy lettuce for a very cheap price. Imagine for only 150php you can bring home one kilo of fresh lettuce. That’s very ideal for salad!
If ever you suddenly became hungry, you can have some meal at the Orchid Pavilion. I love this area, because of its overlooking view. As you stay there you will be able to appreciate more the whole place. Aside from church wedding, garden wedding and beach wedding seems to be the fad. How about a farm wedding for a change? In Paradizoo, that’s possible! The Wedding Pavilion is a perfect location for a wedding. The groom can ride a horse to reach the pavilion while the bride can walk to reach the area so she can savor every moment of her wedding day or if the bride prefers a fairytale type wedding she can ride a carriage. Sounds like Cinderella and her prince charming right?!
We were gathered at the Wedding Pavilion where a short talk happened. It’s like having a mini seminar led by Mr. Robert Yupangco himself. One of the speakers was Mr. Jeff, a livestock expert from Australia. There was a speaker from DOST too, Mr. Melvin and another speaker named Mr. Aldrich, a scientist. Each of the speakers transmitted different knowledge to each one of us. Meanwhile, after the speakers finished their talk, we were asked to go out and watch the greyhound dogs as they race. The Paradizoo promotes Greyhound racing and hopes to make it as a sport. Those dogs are definitely fast, really fast. Greyhound dogs can be your guard or even a home pet.
Speaking of pet, have you ever lose a pet and doesn’t know where to take them? If your answer is yes, it’s time to contact Paradizoo. The Paradizoo will help you give a lasting tribute to your pet. You can select a burial vault and a permanent marker in marble and granite. One of their newest attractions is the Perpetual Park Pet. Paradizoo is a one of a kind farm. I’ve noticed that some farms focuses in just one area. It can be cattle raising, poultry, fisheries and crops, but in Paradizoo they have it all.
After touring around the 10 hectares farm, you can relax and let the fishes do the work for you. In Paradizoo they have a fish spa. All you have to do is sit and let those doctor fishes eat your dead skin while you were enjoying your free coffee. You can experience that Fish Spa for only 60php. Isn’t it amazing?! Now if you’re done relaxing and plans to leave the vicinity don’t forget to grab something from the Discovery Shop. You can find amazing souvenirs inside. They offer stuffed toys, t-shirts, caps, toys and other must have items.
The Paradizoo sees to it that they are implementing the 5R’s. Usually it’s the 3R’s which is the Reuse, Reduce and Recycle but in Paradizoo it is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse and Respect. They believe that in order for us to have a better environment we have to refuse toxins and one should learn to Respect not only the people but also the nature and the animals and all living things. If Paradizoo have the 5R’s, they also have the
4E’s, which includes: Education, Exhibit, Environmental and Entertainment. This place will surely educate each guest regarding the best practices in agriculture. They exhibit different flora, fauna and livestock. It is environmental because they make sure that as much as possible everything that you can found in that place is eco-friendly. Last but not the least is entertainment. I’m pretty sure that those who visited this farm would rate its entertainment value really high.
As we tour around Paradizoo, I was really fascinated with the place. It was beyond reality. Never did I imagine witnessing such a stunning haven of farm and garden. It was a very rewarding experience. It is an experience that you wouldn’t want to miss. I’m planning to go back there but this time, I’ll be with my whole family and maybe with friends too. Together we will enjoy the beauty of Paradizoo. The Paradizoo is located in Mendez, Cavite. If you want to have an ideal experience just like me and the other people who have been there, come and visit Paradizoo. See for yourself!
