Cybersecurity solutions provider Kaspersky is expanding its offerings intended to protect children against online inappropriate content with Kaspersky Safe Kids which received certificates from independent testing organizations proving its function.
Results from AV-Test and AV-Comparatives show 100% and 98.1% success in Kaspersky Safe Kids’ capability to block adult content on Windows.
The AV-Test assesses the parental control solution by scanning 7,500 websites across six languages and 13 categories including adult content, violence, weapons, and others.
Kaspersky Safe Kids achieved an overall average blocking rate of 92.20% against other significant categories like violence and gambling and 99.09% blocking rate for adult content.
AV-Test granted Kaspersky Safe Kids an approved certificate for ‘Parental Control Test’, making Kaspersky the only vendor in the market achieving the recognition for the eighth consecutive time.
According to AV-Test, Kaspersky remains dedicated “to meeting the essential criteria expected from a trusted parental control provider.”
Meanwhile, AV-Comparatives tested Kaspersky Safe Kids versus 1,000 adult category websites and 100 child-friendly websites.
In the 2024 AV-Comparatives test, Kaspersky Safe Kids achieved a 98.1% blocking rate versus pornographic websites with zero false positives on Windows.
The AV-Comparatives test also lauded Kaspersky Safe Kids for its wide range of monitoring and control functions and for how fast it implements changes in the console of the child’s device.
Kaspersky’s offerings for digital parenting have been regularly tested by AV-Comparatives since 2014.
