Manila, Philippines— Kata Digital re-launched the Kata i3 along with the unveiling of its latest product, the Kata M1 at SM City North Edsa in Quezon City last April 5, 2014.
The program started with a performance by the Top 3 Kata Singing Idol finalists and Ms. Deb Victa of The Voice of the Philippines Season 1.
Esteemed guests including Kata’s Country Manager, Manuel Delos Santos, and Melchor Villamor, Asst. Operations Manager graced the event along with Kata distributors, Kenneth Keh of East West Dragon, lifestyle and tech bloggers, media and avid Kata fans alike.
Kata showed the presentation of their Product Evolution which demonstrated how it evolved throughout the years from basic featured phones to smartphones and tablets.
Topping the lists of smartphones are the iSeries which include the Kata i1, i2 and of course, the i3.
Kata also re-launched the Kata i3. Dubbed as the invincible smartphone, the Kata i3 flaunts a 5-inch Super HD display powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor with built-in 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, and a 16GB internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB.
The Android smartphone was sold at a ‘‘special sales blitz’’ price of P7,499 slashing off its original SRP of P8,499. In addition to that, it comes along with 50% off discount for its accessories that includes screen protector, leather case that comes in different color variants such as pink, green, blue and Ivory, and a SMART Bro 3G sim card with P100 Free load.
Demo tables were also spotted in the event area for participants to try it out themselves where they were also assisted by Whiz staffs.
After which is the much anticipated grand finals of Kata Singing Idol which was launched online at Kata’s official Facebook fan page last February 25, 2014.
The first contestant, Ma. Anna Marie Boctoy sang her own rendition of “Not Like The Movies” by Katy Perry, followed by Crsytal Lagman who serenaded the crowd with Frozen OST, “Let It Go”. Last but not the least was Stephanie Lee who showcased her singing prowess with her version of Adele’s “Chasing Pavements”.
Before ending the day, Kata unveils its latest flagship product, the Kata M1. This Android phablet sports a 5.7” True HD display, 1.5GHz quad core processor, and 2GB RAM.
It can save an ample amount of applications & media files with its 16GB internal storage that is expandable up to 32GB. It also has a built-in 13MP rear and 5MP front camera with special features.
Kata announced that M1 will be available for pre-order from April 5, 2014 until April 30, 2014 for P9,999 only from its original price of P11,999 at any Kata Store and Kata kiosk branches nationwide.
The Kata M1 is set to be rolled out in the local market on May this year.
