KIA vehicles official distributor ACMobility has brought to the Philippine market the new Kia Sonet, flaunting a modern look combined with best-in-class features.
With its name derived from the combination of the words “Social” and “Network”, the company said that Kia Sonet appeals to the young millennials and Gen Zs seeking for a balance of convenience, technology, and affordability.
Adding to KIA’s lineup of sports utility vehicles, the Kia Sonet operates on a fuel-efficient 1.5-liter Dual Port Fuel Injected gasoline engine which delivers a maximum power of 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque. The car utilizes either the Kia Intelligent Variable Transmission or a 6-speed Manual Transmission.
A sight that commands attention on the road, the Kia Sonet parades a robust and stylish exterior covering 4,110 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, and 1,642 mm in height.
It showcases a strong presence with the signature Kia Tiger-nose grille and a wide front, completing a premium look with its 16-inch wheels, Star Map Signature LED multi-reflector headlamps, daytime running lights, halogen multi-reflectors, electric sunroof, roof rails, rear spoiler, and a tailgate LED strip.
Other leveled up features of the Kia sonet include 60:40 folding second-row seats for five-passenger comfortability and an infotainment system through a 10.25-inch touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, and multiple USB ports.
The Kia Sonet also utilizes driving safety measures including the Lane Following Assist (LFA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA), Downhill Brake Control (DBC), High Beam Assist (HBA), standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC).
Price for the 1.5 LX MT Kia Sonet starts at P758,000, the 1.5 LX AT at P868,000, 1.5 EX AT at P978,000, and top-of the line 1.5 SX AT at P1,138,000.
The 1.5 LX MT, 1.5 LX AT, and 1.5 EX AT will be available in Vivid Red, Snow White Pearl, and Imperial Blue, while the 1.5 SX AT will be available in Vivid Red or Snow White Pearl, both with a black roof. The new Pewter Olive will be exclusively available to the top-of-the-line 1.5 SX AT variant.
