Digital banking pioneer Maybank recently rolled out the newest version of its Maybank2U PH (M2U) mobile app that highlights advanced security features, enhanced user experience, personalized banking, and seamless access to new services.
The relaunch of the mobile app highlights the 10th year since Maybank initially launched the original version of the platform.
Among the main key points of the new M2U app include Secure2U, an improved two-factor authentication feature for real-time, in-app verification to prevent unauthorized access to accounts. With this, Maybank is also implementing a unique device binding function which requires users to access their accounts only through a nominated device.
For a more personalized experience, the new M2U app allows users to customize app buttons depending on the services they often use.
Through the new M2U app, users can also discover new Maybank services like a one-touch digital account application and other exclusive offers.
According to Maybank Philippines chairman of the board Anthony Brent Elam, most of the new features on the revamped M2U app are based from customer insights as part of the bank’s thrust to humanize financial services.
“We’ve listened closely to our customers’ feedback and upgraded our app to meet your expectations for convenience, security, and innovation,” he said. “This upgrade is part of our broader mission to put you, our valued customers, at the center of everything we do.”
The new M2U app is available for free download for Android and iOS.
