The food industry supply chain has never been more vital than ever, since food preparation technology and capabilities has been tested with the recent coronavirus outbreak.
Now, on its 30th anniversary, FOOD TAIPEI is set to reveal the latest trends on food processing and packaging from food, equipment, and systems.
From June 17-20, the event activities and showcases will take place at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1 and Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2 in Taipei, Taiwan, organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).
With roughly 5,000 booths participating, FOOD TAIPEI will be combining six exhibitions in one – FOOD TAIPEI, TAIPEI PACK, FOODTECH TAIPEI, Bio/Pharmatech Taiwan, Taiwan HORECA and HALAL TAIWAN. For this years iteration, the annual event is projecting to attract 60,000 visitors across 110 countries, and this includes the Philippines.
“This year, we are expecting to welcome more Filipino companies and even small entrepreneurs as we are excited to showcase the latest innovations from the Taiwan Food Industry, as well as 40 other countries who will also be exhibiting their latest products, shared Clement Chen, Director of the Taiwan Trade Center.
Chen also mentioned that last year, the Philippines ranked third in the number of visitors of FOOD TAIPEI, after Japan and China. This year, FOOD TAIPEI will display a comprehensive lineup of solutions for the whole food supply chain from upstream, midstream, downstream sections of the food industry and peripheral equipment sectors.
The innovations will include both domestic and foreign high-quality food product samples, food processing machinery, biotechnology, pharmaceutical equipment, packaging machinery and equipment, catering and hotel supplies, and even halal products.
Meanwhile, the attendees will also be introduced to the current trends, biggest advantages, future projections, and partnership opportunities with Taiwan’s food and food-related industries through a series of exhibition promotion briefing sessions.
The National Pavilion and Taiwan International HALAL Expo will showcase specialty food products from 40 countries while Taipei Pack will be setting up for the first time its smart packaging and printing technologies called Taipei Pack Selection.
Meanwhile, Bio/Pharmatech Taipei will be baring Taiwan’s equipment manufacturing and high-end biological and pharmaceutical technologies development. FOODTECH TAIPEI, on the other hand, will veer more towards smart food manufacturing.
Finally, the Taiwan International Hotel, Restaurant & Catering Show will zero in on Michelin-level equipment and supplies which will be a well-placed platform for businesses looking for high-quality hotel supplies procurements.
International retail group Carrefour will be joining the event for the first time, along with veteran attendees Taiwanese food brand I-MEI Foods, and agricultural/meat company Nice Garden, to possibly open up business opportunities and collaborations with other participants.
