What do I expect from the next season of game of thrones? More stories about my favorites— Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen.
I’m a very big fan of the Game of Thrones and I just can’t wait to watch the next season…
The highly anticipated Emmy®- and Golden Globe®-winning GAME OF THRONES returns to the Philippines same time as the U.S. for its new ten-episode fifth season – this Monday, April 13 at 9am on HBO, with a same day encore at 9pm. New episodes debut weekly at the same time. The series will also be available on HBO GO on the same day.
As a build-up to GAME OF THRONES’ April 13 world premiere, HBO Asia brings to Manila a life-sized replica of the Iron Throne, as seen in the series. From April 8 to 10 at Fully Booked, Bonifacio High Street, the GAME OF THRONES Iron Throne will be on display for fans to experience and photograph. Make sure to watch out for more news on new locations of the throne.
“GAME OF THRONES is the first of our many HBO Original series to premiere in Asia the same time as the U.S., and the first television series to debut worldwide in over 170 countries simultaneously,” said Angela Poh, HBO Asia’s Manager of Communications. “We’re so pleased bring this opportunity for our fans in the Philippines to experience the Iron Throne live. The series is such a huge global phenomenon and we know what a huge hit it is in the Philippines.”
On April 8, selected members of the media, along with fans of the series, were invited to HBO Asia’s exclusive advanced screening of the series. This group in the Philippines was the first in Asia to watch the new episode of GAME OF THRONES, days ahead of its worldwide broadcast.
Based on the bestselling fantasy book series by George R.R. Martin, GAME OF THRONES tells an epic story of treachery and nobility set on the continent of Westeros, where summers and winters can last years, and only the lust for power is eternal.
Jessica Henwick, the first Asian actress cast in the series, features in this new season of GAME OF THRONES. Henwick plays Nymeria Sand, one of the Sand Snakes – the daughters of Oberyn Martell, the Red Viper, a fan favourite of the last season.

Among the critical praise for the fourth season, the Los Angeles Times called GAME OF THRONES “the Best Television Show Ever,” adding that “no other series comes close,” and “television just doesn’t get any better than this,” while Newsday hailed the series as “still TV’s best,” awarding the show an A+. The Hollywood Reporter observed, “The consistency of excellence in GAME OF THRONES is truly something to behold,” and the San Francisco Chronicle described it as “great and addictive.”
I’m not really into books so I haven’t read the novel yet and most likely the story line in the book will have a little twist on TV, so I really don’t know what to expect from the next season.
However, based on what I’ve read from spoilers, I don’t think I will be seeing my personal favorites this season. The producer will be introducing new characters.
I’ve seen the trailer and It was just awesome. I think I would be seeing more dragons as Daenerys would probably start the war to reclaim her throne.
I would love to see how Arya Stark would train at Bravos to become an assassin. There’s more that I want to happen for the series, sad to say I’m not the author. But I’m really looking forward the next series of the Game of Thrones.
So go to Fully Booked at Bonifacio High Street and have your photo taken at the Iron Throne and experience sitting above the Seven Kingdoms!
