It’s once again proven how most Filipinos are highly interested in showbiz news as Google Search trends saw a spike in related searches about actress Maris Racal.
This came after fellow actor Anthony Jenning’s non-showbiz ex-girlfriend Jamela Villanueva exposed an alleged romantic affair between the on-screen partners through a series of Instagram Stories with screenshots of private messages of Racal and Jennings.
The term “Maris Racal” scored 100 in the Philippines before 1:00 AM on December 4 and remained a trending keyword throughout the morning of the said date.
Additionally, “Anthony Jennings” peaked as a search term in the Philippines at 75 at around 12:40 AM on the similar date.
The issue about Racal and Jennings surpassed interest in South Korea’s unexpected declaration of martial law in the evening of December 3.
